1.  First Understand Your App Icon Design Specifications

We plan to design an app icon google recommended its format ,size, color combinations, shape and maximum file size its given below:

Final size: 512px x 512px
Format: 32-bit PNG
Color space: sRGB
Max file size: 1024KB
Shape: Full square – Google Play dynamically handles masking. Radius will be equivalent to 20% of icon size.
Shadow: None – Google Play dynamically handles shadows. See ‘Shadows’ section below on including shadows within your artwork.

This is another way to create android app icon through its Android Studio IDE itself.

Android Studio includes a tool called Image Asset Studio that helps you generate your own app icons from material icons, custom images, and text strings. It generates a set of icons at the appropriate resolution for each pixel density that your app supports. Image Asset Studio places the newly generated icons in density-specific folders under the res/ directory in your project. At runtime, Android uses the appropriate resource based on the screen density of the device your app is running on.

Image Asset Studio helps you generate the following icon types:

3.Notification icons
